I just love weekends. I love them even more when they are filled with sunshine and all my favorite people…dogs.
We started ours off with coffee and play time on our bright sunny porch.
And then we went for a family run. Can you spy Mr. Teeps?
After our run we hung up the pictures in the office.
And then J and I went out for very late brunch…which I thought would be lunch, but I was delighted to find out the place we went was still serving brunch food. So lunch for J, brunch for moi.
Pizza and beer for J. Avocado egg toast and a spicy bloody for me. And the best part was we didn’t have to wait 2 hours for a table (hem hem, Denver brunch situation). Everyone was happy.
I cannot believe how hot it is here this weekend. I ran in shorts and a tank top. In March. BUT winter is coming back this Monday and I think the forecast is saying 20 degrees and snow. So I’m going to enjoy all the sunshine this weekend and soak up some extra rays to hold me over until the next heat wave.
I made this superfood quinoa bowl for dinner. Mushrooms, kale, spinach, and chard quinoa. Roasted acorn squash and broccoli. Honey cumin cardamom sauce on the chicken. Drool.
And then we wrapped up our crazy Saturday night by calling Comcast for the 8th million time to fix our internet. Followed by a bottle of wine, popcorn and being serenaded by the sweet limericks of 8 Mile. We keep it classy around here.
