Cheers to the freakin’ weekend, right? Loki hit the jack pot of treasure finds on our run the other day. He carried this ball the entire time. I give him mucho kudos, I sound like I’m hyperventilating on those trails without running with a ball in my mouth. The kid has skills.
With the slight increase I’m doing in mileage, I’m trying to be super good about not only hitting my yoga mat for well, yoga, but also for some post run PT (stretching, foam rolling, puppy kisses).
That time Adele reached into my soul and discovered just how deep my love for PB cookies is.
Every morning, after our pee pee walk, Mr. Teeps gets out all his toys and surrounds himself with them. Actually I lied, he gets out a lot of his toys, but not all. He definitely has way more toys than represented here.
It’s so nice and sunny this weekend, its hard to believe it was all snowy just early this week. Oh Colorado, you silly gal you.
Did you know that cockapoos are descendant of the Bumble (yes, like from Rudolph).
Saturday morning I went for a LSD run (that’s Long Slow Distance, not drugs) on the trails. It was so beautiful out. It was one of those runs where you feel simply blessed to be out there, doing what you love. Running on the trails is still not easy, but I feel like I’m definitely getting stronger. My body feels good, now only if my lungs would cooperate. Darn asthma and allergies. It was so warm out I was a little concerned about seeing snakes, but thankfully no one was out sun bathing on the trails today.
Saturday evening we went out for some margs and tacos. We had to wait for a table on the rooftop, so I was standing at the bar area with my frozen margarita, wishing I had a koozie for it haha. I eventually gave up my coolness and wrapped the bottom in a napkin.
Sunday morning I went to a community yoga class at Lululemon. While I love my CP hot yoga classes, it’s nice every once in a while to try something new, and not be dripping sweat from places you didn’t even knew sweated. I didn’t quite get upside down as much as I would have liked, but man I held a killer bakasana. Baby steps.
I saw this in the parking lot outside the lululemon, and it made me giggle.
We had some friends over for lunch. And then we just chilled the rest of our lazy Sunday afternoon. Firmed up some travel plans for our trip back home and to Ireland. Mostly just the logistics of when I would drop off and pick up Loki from my parents place in NY. Kind of makes me just want to move back to the east coast so planning trips home doesn’t require so much strategizing on who is where when and how they are getting there. Buuuuut I love Colorado. Like a lot. Can’t have it all right?
And that was our weekend.
